Louisiana Maritime Lawyers

The attorneys of The Young Firm have practiced law in the New Orleans area for a combined total of more than 60 years. While some law firms have a reputation for never going to court, our office is well known in the local courthouses. Our attorneys regularly make court appearances, we are familiar with the local judges and our office usually tries multiple cases each year. 	Robert J. Young Jr. E-mail Robert J. Young, Jr. Mr. Young has practiced for more than 40 years in the New Orleans area. He was born in Vero Beach, Florida and later graduated from Loyola Law School in New Orleans. His practice consists mainly of maritime cases, including Jones Act claims and General Maritime Law claims.
	Timothy J. Young E-mail Timothy J. Young Mr. Young graduated cum laude from Tulane Law School in 1993. He is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Texas, and he is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Louisiana Association of Trial Lawyers, including the Admiralty Sections of both Associations. Mr. Young has provided talks to lawyers in other states regarding the practice of maritime law. Mr. Young has successfully litigated a variety of claims including sexual harassment claims, premise liability claims, Jones Act and maritime claims and product liability claims.
	Jason C. MacFetters E-mail Jason C MacFetters Mr. MacFetters is a 2003 graduate of Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where he was a member of Delta Theta Phi and worked to assist indigent clients with Kistachie Legal Services in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A New Orleans native, before joining The Young Firm Mr. MacFetters worked with the Louisiana Recovery Authority helping Louisianians affected by Hurricane Katrina rebuild their homes. He is a graduate of Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where he was active in student government, president of the English Society and wrote for the Springhillian newspaper, and of Jesuit High School in New Orleans.
	Rebecca A. Coman E-mail Rebecca A Coman Rebecca A. Coman, a native of New Orleans, received her Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. While in law school, Rebecca was named to the Chancellor's List and received the CALI Award in International Human Rights Law. Rebecca received her undergraduate degree in International Trade and Finance from LSU. While in undergraduate school, Rebecca was named to the Dean's List and inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma, and Alpha Lamda Delta. After graduating from law school, Rebecca clerked for the Honorable Ross P. Ladart of the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson. After her clerkship, Rebecca began successfully representing plaintiffs in automobile accident cases. Since joining The Young Firm, Rebecca has represented plaintiffs in a wide variety of personal injury cases, including maritime, medical malpractice, workers' compensation, and automobile accident cases. She is admitted to practice before all Louisiana State Courts and the Eastern District of Louisiana.
